Students Chrome Login on Windows Computer

This document is to help understand the new "Forced Login to Chrome" feature enabled for all student accounts when they log into a desktop or laptop computer. You must follow these steps to be able to access chrome on a computer.

When students open chrome for the first time on a computer they will be asked to sign in
- Click on the Profile “You”
- DO NOT CLICK ADD PERSON

After logging in the student will be asked if they would like to Turn on Sync, they must hit “Yes I’m In”
This process will need to be done on any windows computer used by a student. It is best to use the same computer every time if possible to reduce the chance of error.

If any of these steps are missed and google chrome issues this warning stating “Can’t use this profile” you can delete all profiles available.
- Click the 3 dots in top right of profile picture and select “Remove this person”
After all other profiles are deleted and you are left with one, start the process over.
